A .cvclk is the share file for one BUG Clicker character. It packs the pictures, the lines, the numbers, the sounds, and the bubble shape. You bring it in from Settings, then Share, then Import. Drag the file onto the Import box, or use the file picker. Before the character is added, the app shows the author and the terms: what is allowed, what is not, and any content warning.
Older files still open
The guide says a .cvclk made on an older version can still be imported. I do not have a compatibility matrix, so I will not invent one. If a file is refused, the troubleshooting page for that error is the next stop, not a guess about a version number.
Export, lock, and the smaller part file
- On export you can include or skip the head doll and the bubble decorations.
- You can turn on a lock that stops the recipient from exporting the character again.
- A received character image is tied to this computer and this user. Copying the data folder to another machine does not open it.
- A .cvpart shares parts only. It does not include the character pictures.
If you sell a .cvclk, the developer’s rule is to enable that export lock, to write “BUG Clicker” and the source, and to tell the buyer to update to the current build. This site never hosts the file. Link the author’s post.
Where the imported character is stored is the data folder: beside the exe on Windows, under Application Support on Mac. Importing does not put the .cvclk in a folder you choose by hand.
Questions
Where do I put the file on disk?
You do not place it by hand. Drag it onto Import. The app stores the result in its data folder.
What is a .cvpart?
A parts-only share. It has no character pictures.
