About this guide

bugclicker.net explains the BUG Clicker desktop pet: where the official files are, how a character is built, and how to read a .cvclk post. BUG (@BUGnDEV) makes the app. This site does not. The developer runs the project alone and has said it is not a business. We do not speak for them, take payment in their name, or sell characters.

How a page gets written

A fact needs a public page, a release listing, a post, a wiki, or a video. The source list at the bottom of each page is the check, with the date. If two sources disagree, both numbers stay. If a number was never published, the cell stays empty. Search volume is not treated as proof that a file exists. Character files stay on the creator’s host. If a creator asks for a link to come down, we remove it within 48 hours.

What we skip

Insect-bite gadgets, browser clicker games, auto clickers, and meeting-room dongles that only share a word with this pet. We also skip reposting paid character files. Version badges move when a release changes a step we described. The app has been shipping several Windows builds a week, so a badge can be a few days behind the newest tag.

Pixel bug mark of BUG Clicker
The developer’s mark. Using it here identifies the app. It does not mean this site is that studio.

Questions

Who do I email?

[email protected] for corrections and takedowns. The developer’s own form is linked from the contact page and is the right door for app bugs.

Do you host .cvclk files?

No. We link the original post.

References from the same developer, publisher or creator count as one source. Wiki references describe the character; they do not confirm a pet file.
